Wild Red Grouper - Hand Caught in The Florida Gulf

Red Grouper is a firm textured, flaky, white meat fish known for its versatility and exquisite taste. Red grouper has a slightly sweeter, milder flavor compared to its black grouper counterpart.

Each box of red grouper features individually vacuumed packaged portions, each weighing between four and five ounces. They do NOT contain skin

Note: Due to the structure of the fillet, some portions may contain bones.

Shipping for Frozen Items

Shipping is free on orders over $100. We will ship your package via UPS/FedEx Ground*, unless your location is west coast in which case we will automatically ship Express for a 2 to 3 day Transit. Your package will take 1 to 3 days to arrive to you once it is shipped. We do not ship across weekends because shipping time extends past the effectiveness of dry ice.

Orders placed on Monday will ship same day if placed before 8:00 AM ET.
Orders placed on Tuesday thru Wednesday will ship same day if placed before 12pm ET.
Orders placed after 12pm ET Tuesday will be shipped the following day.
Orders placed on Wednesday after 12pm thru Sunday will ship Monday, with the following exception:
Orders placed on Wednesday thru Thursday before 12pm within (NC, SC & VA only) will ship same day, since delivery takes one day.

We are unable to ship to PO boxes or FPO or APO addresses. Currently we are able to ship only to continental US addresses.

* FedEx and UPS Ground are our standard, cost-effective shipping. If you prefer to expedite your shipment please select one of our expedited shipping options during checkout.

Requested Delivery Dates

You may request or schedule a delivery date in the future and we will do our best to accommodate the requested date. However, please note that certain dates may be impossible to accommodate depending on your area, day of the week, weather, and carrier delivery schedule. E.g: Orders requested for Monday delivery could be delivered the Friday before or on a later day of the requested week.

Shipping Tinned Fish

To prevent damage during transit, tinned items will always ship separately from frozen items. Tinned items will ship with FedEx Ground economy and may take up to 7 business days for delivery.

Storage

Seafood ordered from Sizzlefish should be kept frozen until ready for preparation. Items can be stored frozen for up to 12 months, but are best if consumed within 6 months of purchase.

Thawing Instructions:

The best way to thaw our seafood is to remove the product from the original packaging, place it in a plastic bag, and allow it to thaw in the refrigerator for about 6 hours. If you require faster thawing, we recommend placing the product into a non-vacuum sealed bag and placing it in cool water for around thirty minutes to an hour.

"Sizzlefish is better than I can buy at my market where they have already defrosted the fish to sell, and cut my portions larger than recommended servings. Direct to my door, I defrost when I am ready to use, and perfectly appropriate portions for my diet. I just wish the labels stayed on the fish after shipping. The dry ice seems to freeze the labels off the packages. It's a bit of a guessing game sometimes to tell what is what in the box."
