Our crabcakes are packed full of domestic, jumbo lump and backfin crab meat. Seasoned with Chesapeake style spices but with a twist: gluten-free bread crumbs. Finally, a true Maryland crabcake that everyone can enjoy! Our crab cakes are individually packaged so that you can grab as many or as little as you need for your needs. 

Ingredients: Blue crabmeat, EDTA free mayonnaise (soybean oil, water, whole eggs, distilled vinegar, egg yolks, salt sugar, lemon juice concentrate, natural flavor), cage-free eggs, gluten-free bread crumbs (Rice flour, Xanthan Gum, Garlic Powder, Salt, Onion Powder, canola oil, sugar, Yeast, Spices, Ascorbic Acid), Worcestershire Sauce (distilled white vinegar, molasses, sugar, water, salt, onions, anchovies, garlic, cloves, tamarind extract, natural flavorings, chili pepper extract), Lemon Juice, Spices.

Shipping for Frozen Items

Shipping is free on orders over $100. We will ship your package via UPS/FedEx Ground*, unless your location is west coast in which case we will automatically ship Express for a 2 to 3 day Transit. Your package will take 1 to 3 days to arrive to you once it is shipped. We do not ship across weekends because shipping time extends past the effectiveness of dry ice. 
  • Orders placed on Monday will ship same day if placed before 8:00 AM ET.
  • Orders placed on Tuesday thru Wednesday will ship same day if placed before 12pm ET.
  • Orders placed after 12pm ET Tuesday will be shipped the following day.
  • Orders placed on Wednesday after 12pm thru Sunday will ship Monday, with the following exception:
  • Orders placed on Wednesday thru Thursday before 12pm within (NC, SC & VA only) will ship same day, since delivery takes one day.
We are unable to ship to PO boxes or FPO or APO addresses. Currently we are able to ship only to continental US addresses.
    * FedEx and UPS Ground are our standard, cost-effective shipping. If you prefer to expedite your shipment please select one of our expedited shipping options during checkout.

    You may request or schedule a delivery date in the future and we will do our best to accommodate the requested date. However, please note that certain dates may be impossible to accommodate depending on your area, day of the week, weather, and carrier delivery schedule. E.g: Orders requested for Monday delivery could be delivered the Friday before or on a later day of the requested week. 

    Shipping Tinned Fish

    To prevent damage during transit, tinned items will always ship separately from frozen items. Tinned items will ship with FedEx Ground economy and may take up to 7 business days for delivery.

    Storage

    Seafood ordered from Sizzlefish should be kept frozen until ready for preparation. Items can be stored frozen for up to 12 months, but are best if consumed within 6 months of purchase.

    Thawing Instructions:

    The best way to thaw our seafood is to remove the product from the original packaging, place it in a plastic bag, and allow it to thaw in the refrigerator for about 6 hours. If you require faster thawing, we recommend placing the product into a non-vacuum sealed bag and placing it in cool water for around thirty minutes to an hour.

    Why do you use mayo with soybean oil in it?! Please please make a version of this without unhealthy oils!

The mayonnaise we use is EDTA-free and crafted from soybean oil, which helps to enhance the overall flavor and texture of the crabcakes while keeping them moist. Soybean oil is also a neutral oil, allowing the delicious taste of the blue crabmeat and spices to shine through. In addition, our crabcakes feature cage-free eggs and gluten-free bread crumbs, which contribute to the quality and consistency of the product. The gluten-free bread crumbs, made from rice flour and other natural ingredients, provide a satisfying texture without compromising flavor. We appreciate your input and will certainly consider your request for a version without unhealthy oils as we continue to improve our offerings.     We received Crab Cakes as a gift..can you tell me the suggested baking time and temp for them? Can they be pan fried?
    We can certainly assist you with this! I've included the instructions below for various methods. Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with. Oven Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 425°F and place the crab cakes on a nonstick baking sheet. (parchment paper on top of a baking sheet works best and makes for easy clean up) 2. Remove the thawed crabcake from packaging and shape it like a hockey puck with your hands. 3. Bake until golden brown, approximately 5-7 minutes depending on your oven. Stovetop Instructions: 1. Heat a non-stick pan on medium heat and lightly butter the surface. 2. Take the crab cake out of the bag and shape it like a hockey puck. 3. Place on heated skillet and cook the crab cakes until both sides are a nice golden brown color, about 3-4 minutes each side. Microwave Instructions: Arrange the crab cakes on a microwave-safe plate. Cover them with a damp paper towel to stop them from drying out. Set the microwave to 50% power. Heat at 30-second intervals with a 10-second break in between. Note: The microwave can dry out the crab cakes, so don’t forget the damp paper towel. It’s best to heat 2 (or 3 small) crab cakes at a time to ensure they heat through evenly. Crab Cake bites: Break each crabcake into 4 equal parts, roll into ball and saute in pan for 2 minutes per side. Perfect for any party appetizer!
