French Fish
I have a soft spot for all things FRANCE! I adore French cooking. I studied French in school, I traveled there numerous times, and of course, we watch the tour every year!
The French culture really knows how to enjoy a meal. They savor it, as it should be! They prepare it with love and lots of wonderful ingredients. One of my favorite French cooking ingredients is herbs de Provence. I actually still have a bag of these magnificent herbs tucked in the corner of my pantry. I use them on special occasions or when I want to reminisce about France.
So, today I want is a special treat. I’m busting out the Herbs to Provence to share the wonderful French Fish recipe. VOILA!
- 1 fillet fish per person (I use salmon or Haddock)
- 1-tbsp dried or fresh grated lemon zest or lemon juice
- 1 tbsp. herbs de Provence per fish.
- Course black pepper
- sea salt
- olive oil
- (Optional- red pepper flakes)
Pre Heat your oven to 400F. While that this warming, coat each fillet with 1 tbsp olive and sprinkle the herbs and season over each fish. I usually use a pinch or two of sea salt and black pepper on each as well.
Place fish in oven safe dish for 15 minutes or 10 minutes per inch of thickness. I usually check around 10 minutes if it’s a light fish.
Garnish with red pepper flakes if you want more spice!
Merci!
