Let’s talk Salmon, shall we? Rather, let’s talk Sizzlefish King Salmon! Our wild caught Alaska king salmon, also known as Chinook salmon, contains the highest omega-3 levels of all the wild Pacific salmon species. That makes this heart healthy, high protein fish a perfect choice for dinner. Not only is this fish extremely good for you, BUT it’s also a very easy fish to cook. So, let’s talk recipe now…
Have you tried grilling your fish on a plank before? Trust us, you want to try this method of cooking. The plank method of grilling makes it easier to grill your salmon, but it also gives the fish a delicious added smoky flavor. Cooking salmon on a soaked cedar plank helps to gently steam the fillets while cooking them at a high temperature. This keeps the meat nice and tender without scorching it or having it stick to the grill. One super helpful tip to keeping your fish from sticking to the cedar plank or the grill is to oil the skin well and then give it a good coating of salt. This will give the fish a protective layer to keep it from sticking to any cooking surface. Oh, and did we mention this flavor combination?!
WOW is really the best way to describe how the flavor of the lime juice mixes with the fresh cilantro combined with the richness of the salmon….MMMMM, pure deliciousness. We finished this with a light brushing of lime and honey, which worked perfectly as a light dressing on this grilled vegetable salad. This Cedar Plank Grilled Cilantro Lime King Salmon recipe really is the perfect summer grilled dinner.
