With just six simple ingredients, this honey bourbon salmon is a delicious entree full of rich flavor and protein. Best of all, it’s ready to eat in around 30 minutes! This flaky, tender salmon recipe bakes in just 16 minutes, allowing the bourbon sauce to caramelize on salmon while the edges brown. The result is a sweet and savory salmon that’s great served with your favorite side dishes for a complete meal.
All About The Sauce
The honey bourbon sauce is made with bourbon, honey, soy sauce, Dijon mustard and garlic powder. This sauce can be made a day ahead of time and refrigerated until using. Bourbon has notes of oak, vanilla, caramel and molasses that stand out in the sauce without tasting boozy. Even if you don’t like bourbon, a bourbon sauce is worth trying. The sweet notes of bourbon and honey pair well with umami soy sauce, tangy Dijon mustard and herby garlic powder. This sauce would also be great on grilled shrimp.
Learn About Our Atlantic Salmon
Here at Sizzlefish, our Atlantic salmon is raised in the remote waters off the Faroe Islands, located between Iceland, Norway and Scotland. This salmon variety is raised without antibiotics. The flavor is mild and flaky, staying moist when baked. Sizzlefish salmon portions arrive with the skin on because this is where the heart healthy omega-3 fatty acids are concentrated along the fat line next to the skin. Each portion of Sizzlefish salmon is available in 4 or 6 ounces, perfect for customizing to your family’s needs and appetites. Be sure to thaw salmon portions in the refrigerator overnight so they are ready to use.
