What Is An Air Fryer And Why Use It For This Recipe?
Salmon is versatile enough for just about any cooking method. We love it in the air fryer for its quick cooking convenience and effortlessly delicious texture.
An air fryer is a kitchen appliance that uses hot air to cook food. It works by circulating hot air around the food, creating a crispy outer layer like deep frying, but without the need for oil.
Air fryers typically have a basket or tray that holds the food, and a heating element and fan that circulate the hot air. Some air fryers also come with accessories such as racks and skewers that allow for more versatile cooking options. Many air fryers also have digital controls and pre-set cooking functions for easy use.
Learn About Our Atlantic Salmon!
Our Atlantic salmon is a specific type of Atlantic salmon that is raised in the Faroe Islands, which are in the North Atlantic Ocean between Iceland and Norway. The Faroe Islands have a long history of salmon farming, with the first fish farm established in the late 1960s.
Faroe Islands Atlantic salmon is known for its high quality and unique flavor, which is attributed to the cool, clear waters of the North Atlantic and the strict farming practices used by producers in the region. Faroe Islands salmon farmers are committed to sustainability and responsible aquaculture practices, including using low-density farming methods, feeding their fish with sustainably sourced feed, and minimizing the use of antibiotics and other chemicals.
In recent years, Faroe Islands Atlantic salmon has become increasingly popular among chefs and consumers who are seeking high-quality, sustainable seafood. It is often sold as fresh or frozen fillets, and can be prepared in a variety of ways, such as grilling, baking, or smoking.
Sizzlefish salmon portions arrive with the skin on because this is where the heart healthy omega-3 fatty acids are concentrated along the fat line next to the skin. Each portion of Sizzlefish salmon is available in 4 or 6 ounces, perfect for customizing to your needs.
All About The Sauce!
These salmon bites beg to be dipped, so we paired them with a sweet and spicy sauce. Hoisin sauce is the base for the dipping sauce adding richness.
Hoisin sauce is a thick, dark, and flavorful sauce commonly used in Chinese cuisine as a condiment, marinade, or glaze for meats, seafood, and vegetables. It is made from a mixture of soybeans, sugar, vinegar, garlic, and various spices, such as red chili peppers, and is commonly sweetened with molasses or honey.
Hoisin sauce has a complex and savory flavor, with a balance of salty, sweet, and tangy notes. It is often used as a dipping sauce for dishes such as spring rolls, dumplings, and roasted meats, or as a sauce for stir-fries or noodle dishes.
Coconut aminos is a condiment that is often used as a substitute for soy sauce in recipes. It is made from the sap of coconut trees and is gluten-free, soy-free, and low in sodium.
Chili garlic sauce adds heat and garlicky flavor with just one ingredient. Lime juice adds a burst of fresh tangy flavor.
