Grilled Salmon in Honey Lime Sauce

Grilling season has arrived and while fish on the grill can be intimidating, this recipe for Grilled Salmon In Foil With Spicy Honey Lime Sauce is going to prove to you that you can grill fish stress free. Salmon is such a delicious delicacy, full of protein and heart healthy omega-3s. It is always a great addition to your diet for nutritional purposes alone. The fact that it’s so incredibly tasty is just a bonus. Grilling salmon, however, takes it to the next level. In this recipe, we created a velvety spicy sweet sauce to pour over the salmon to keep things nice and moist, as they should be. Grilling in foil is incredibly easy and if you do not have a grill, don’t worry! This recipe works in the oven too! Simply bake the packets at 375°F for 15-20 minutes, just as you would on the grill.

Grilled Salmon In Foil With Spicy Honey Lime Sauce Recipe

Grilled Salmon in Foil with Spicy Honey Lime Sauce


For the Glaze:

  • ¼ cup Honey
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 1 Lime, zested and juiced
  • 2 TBSP fresh lime juice
  • 2 TBSP Butter
  • 1 tsp Cornstarch
  • 1-2 tsp Sriracha
  • 2-4 TBSP Water, as needed
  • 2 TBSP Coconut Aminos (optional)

For the Salmon:

  • 4 Sizzlefish Salmon Fillets
  • Kosher Salt, to taste
  • Freshly Ground Black Pepper, to taste

Optional Garnish:

  • Fresh Cilantro
  • Sliced Lime


  1. To prepare the sauce: Add the honey, minced garlic, lime zest, lime juice, butter, cornstarch and sriracha (and coconut aminos if using them) in a small heavy sauce pan, whisk well to combine. Turn the heat to medium high, continuing to whisk as the mixture heats up and begins to thicken. This will take about a minute. Once thickened, remove the sauce from the heat and cover. Add water if needed a tablespoon at a time if your sauce becomes too thick and needs to be thinned out.
  2. To prepare the salmon: Oil 4 sheets of aluminum foil. Lay two slices of lime on the bottom of the foil and then place the salmon fillets on top of the lime slices. Season the fillets with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over salmon, leaving some for serving. Fold the sides of the foil up and over the salmon fillets sealing the foil pouches.
  4. Preheat the grill to high heat. Once heated, turn the grill down to medium high. Place the foil packets on the grill and cook 10-15 minutes or until the salmon fillets are cooked through. When done, remove the packets from the grill. Serve with chopped parsley, extra sauce and fresh lime wedges.
