Grilled salmon with a sweet honey orange sauce and spicy dry rub! A little sweet, a little spicy! Served with grilled asparagus for a quick and filling meal.
Ingredients
-
2 salmon filets, thawed
-
1 bunch asparagus
-
1 tbsp. honey
-
Juice of 1 orange
-
1 tsp. paprika
-
½ tsp. cayenne pepper
-
½ tsp. garlic powder
-
Coconut oil spray
-
½ tsp. salt
Directions
Heat the grill to 400 F.
Chop the ends off the asparagus then spray with coconut oil spray and add salt. Place on the grill to cook 15 minutes.
In a small bowl, combine the honey and juice of 1 orange.
In another separate bowl, combine the paprika, cayenne pepper and garlic powder.
Divide the rub in half. Using your hands, rub the seasonings into each salmon filet pressing it in good.
Brush half the honey-orange mixture over each salmon filet, reserving the other half for after grilling.
Place the salmon on the grill. Cook 7 minutes each side (this may be slightly less or longer depending on the thickness of your salmon) then flip and cook another 7 minutes.
Remove the salmon and asparagus from the grill. Brush the remaining honey-orange mixture over the salmon and serve!
